Why you should consider an eBay store
Selling on eBay is something that is relatively easy to break into. All you need to do is set up PayPal and eBay accounts, take some pictures of your stock, and make a few listings. If your products are in demand, you will make sales, due to eBay's exceptional traffic levels. As your products sell at a profit, you can expand your listings and your business. When you reach this stage, you should seriously think about opening an eBay store. This will let you list multiple items in one place, and give you the possibility of multiple sales.
The eBay guidelines say you should consider opening a basic store if you have over $100 in total sales every month. The basic store is priced at $15.95 per month, and will give you the basic features. If your business continues to expand, you can upgrade to the other categories of store. Even with the basic, you get a pretty wide range of features and benefits. At any level you get your store home page, and an unlimited number of pages for your products.
As you move up through the levels, you get an increased amount of many of the benefits which are available to you. The first of these benefits is the ability to customize pages, and you get extra pages at the higher levels. At the higher levels, you get Selling Manager Pro, which is the expanded feature version of the standard Selling Manager you get with the basic store.
When you have an eBay store, you will appear from time to time on the “Shop eBay Stores” section of the search results. With a basic store this will not happen that often, but it will still get you some exposure. As you progress through the levels, you will find your store being featured more often. When your store moves up to higher levels, you will also have access to advanced market research and traffic reporting. If you are selling multiple products, you should definitely consider an eBay store.
